The 9Barista Mk.2 sees some major design and aesthetic improvements.
The key things that have changed are:
• New stainless steel heat exchanger (updated from brass).
• Fully machined castings for a precision finish (no more cast faces).
• Updated portafilter design for improved aesthetics.
• Ceramic thermal break (updated from silicon).
• Anodised aluminium chimney (updated from plastic).
• Improved boiler o ring design (50% larger for improved durability)
• Stainless steel basket cap (for the pro variant only)
• Anodised aluminium handles (for the pro variant only)
• ‘Frosted’ metal finish achieved through a unique barreling process that
provides a smooth and uniform finish.
Improved Durability and Heat Resilience.
Changes to parts’ materials and designs mean that 9Barista Mk.2 has better resilience to heat and is more durable.
Premium and Flawless Finish.
Fully machined castings and barreled finish mean the casting faces have a flawless and smooth finish.
Improved Extraction.
The Pro variant comes with the Naked Portafilter, IMS Basket and laser drilled metal basket cap for superior extraction.
Reduced Plastic Parts
Mk.2 sees a shift away from plastic components with almost every part being made of metal or non-plastic materials.
